When my daughter began working with Lisbeth at the end of her sophomore year in high school, the change was (appropriately) dramatic! I remember driving home after the very first session, and my daughter had tears in her eyes, so happy to have a teacher who would work with her on all the things she wanted to perfect, and who already seemed to be encouraging her. Lisbeth joyfully praised her when it was deserving, and gently guided her when she needed work. Zoe’s confidence grew under Lisbeth’s care, and that confidence allowed her to stretch and grow in her acting work.  I saw my daughter change from a child who had some natural talent into a young artist full of confidence and poise. Lisbeth lovingly facilitated that growth. Lisbeth was also invaluable in helping us sort through the craziness of college applications and auditions, and her knowledge of collegiate programs was a tremendous help to our family. Lisbeth also gave Zoe a generous scholarship for her coaching fees when our family experienced a period of financial difficulty. At Zoe’s college auditions, the frequent comment from faculty was that she was so well-prepared.  Her confidence at the auditions allowed her talent to shine through. She was accepted into four competitive theatre programs, all with scholarships! Zoe knows that she is entering an industry that is competitive and grueling, but she has a solid foundation. Lisbeth has become a friend, and we have a great deal of gratitude for all she did with our daughter! Zoe has continued to coach with Lisbeth through out her college years and I expect she will continue to work with Lisbeth when she joins the professional theater as well.
