Acting & Performance
LISBETH BARTLETT, AEA, SAG-AFTRA
I have over 30 years of experience as a professional actor, acting teacher, and writer. I am also a private acting coach.
I work from my private studio in historic downtown Philadelphia run virtual coaching sessions online to clients across the US and abroad. Online coaching works just as well as in person coaching and achieves equally successful results without having to sit in traffic!
I began my performance career as a corps member and soloist with the Wisconsin Ballet Company under Bess and Tibor Zana in my hometown of Madison, Wisconsin. Later I headed to the East Coast to begin my professional acting career.
Over my career, I have played a wide variety of classical and contemporary roles Off-Broadway and at regional theaters across the USA as well as several Feature films.
Solo Performance and Writing
As a published writer, I coach fellow writers in preparing for public readings of their own work. As a published writer, I coach fellow writers in preparing for public readings of their own work. Many writers are extremely uncomfortable reading in public. Reading one’s own work in public can be much more difficult than bringing someone else’s words to life onstage!
I also coach BA, BFA, MFA and Conservatory Drama applicants in writing effective essays.
I also volunteer my services at area schools and retirement communities. I have also had the great privilege of working as a mentor in the PEN American Prison Writers Program.

Coaching
I work privately, one on one, with coaching student actors and writers both in person at my Philadelphia Acting Studio in historic Center City Philadelphia and ONLINE via ZOOM, SKYPE, FACETIME and the like across the USA and abroad.
My coaching students have played leading roles on and off Broadway, in feature films and on prime-time television.
Others have been accepted to prestigious pre-college, BFA, MFA, conservatory and apprenticeship acting and musical theater programs across the country and abroad.
