My daughter Mariela started coaching with Lisbeth her freshman year of high school. She had decided at that time that she wanted to pursue acting as a career and was worried when she saw that several top colleges have acceptance rates of under 5%. She decided she needed an acting coach. We were lucky enough to find Lisbeth Bartlett’s website. My daughter was able to work with Lisbeth both in person at her Philadelphia studio and on SKYPE, as we live in Delaware. From the start, Lisbeth was extremely knowledgeable, enthusiastic, welcoming and kind. She helped my daughter find classical and contemporary plays that she fell in love with and highlighted everything that makes her unique. This material helped Mariela shine in the audition room, something very important when the audition panel is seeing hundreds of kids audition in a matter of hours. Thanks to Lisbeth, my daughter had an extremely successful college audition season. She was accepted into 12 top acting programs, including some dream schools, all with scholarship awards. Besides college audition prep, Lisbeth also helped my daughter successfully land other acting work at community theatres and competitive summer programs (Delaware Shakespeare, NYU Tisch, etc.) and coached her through her auditions, rehearsals and performances to play Juliet in Shakespeare’s “Romeo and Juliet” at Arden Shakespeare Gild last summer, which was a wonderful experience. I cannot thank Lisbeth enough for all of the support and guidance she provided. She truly cares about her students and does a wonderful job of helping them become the best artists they can be.
