We are so pleased to write a letter of recommendation for Lisbeth Bartlett.  Lisbeth was our son Lee’s private acting teacher and audition coach for two years. Lisbeth helped Lee focus not only on specific monologues but on the craft of acting itself.  Lisbeth’s insights and training helped Lee to learn the type of roles that would suit him best and the proper techniques to execute these roles.  As his parents, we appreciated the steady and supportive hand she provided during the difficult college audition process. She helped him select and perform a number of monologues.  This preparation gave Lee a mental edge when auditioning; she gave him the confidence he needed to perform at his best.  Lee applied to 9 different colleges, ranging from large universities to conservatories, all with very competitive musical theater programs.  He was fortunate enough to be accepted into 5 of these programs.  There is no doubt Lisbeth’s influence played a significant part in these acceptances.  She also provided emotional support when certain auditions didn’t go as Lee hoped, often speaking with him at length shortly after the auditions, reminding him of to stay focused and positive. Lee is now a graduate of Cincinnati’s College Conservatory of Music BFA Program and a professional working actor, but he still relies on many of the teachings Lisbeth instilled in him and regularly coaches with her for important auditions.  We thank her for providing our son with a solid base of good work habits, love and support.
