Lisbeth is an amazing acting coach, mentor and human being. She is exceptional at what she does. My son worked with Lisbeth mostly ONLINE but also travelled to Philadelphia twice for a double session in person. Jake went through the college audition process last year with a different coach and was not successful so he took a gap year to try again. Working with Lisbeth was the best thing we could’ve ever done for his acting training. Lisbeth’s ability to find material that matches the actor is outstanding—my son would enthusiastically tell me after each session how excited he was about a new piece or how pleased he was with a tweak they made to a monologue they’d been working on. She brought out the best in my son by teaching him how to own the audition. Lisbeth insisted that this second season of college auditions would rebuild his confidence from last year and she was absolutely right. He gained so much confidence from working with her! But the greatest thing about Lisbeth is she is vested in your young actor’s success. She cares. A lot. And knows her stuff. I know a lot of people who care deeply for my son and some people who can help him train as an actor. But I know very few people who can offer the love AND acting expertise that Lisbeth shares with her clients. Last year, using a different coach, he did not get an acceptance to a good BFA Musical Theater Program. This year he received SEVERAL acceptances, many with scholarships. One of the acceptances was offered right IN the audition room, right after his audition, with a scholarship; the auditors were blown away by Jake’s presentation and even asked him what acting teacher he studied with, and of course he said, “LISBETH BARTLETT!” I cannot tell you what that meant to him and to me. Jake was so confident and happy during the audition season that he showed the very best of what he had to offer. Every parent loves to see their child thrive. Last year, auditions were something done TO him. This year he OWNS IT. My son and I were talking about how amazing Lisbeth is and there just really isn’t enough to say about how pleased we are that we found her and made the call. She is truly special. We think maybe she should be called “the actor whisperer” because she coaxes the best out of her students not only with her knowledge but also with her loving heart. Final comments—Worth every cent. As a parent, I SO wish he had started with Lisbeth Bartlett sooner.
