I live on Long Island and found Lisbeth via her website. I was unable to meet with her in person at her studio in Philadelphia so we met weekly via Skype. Skype worked great. I originally thought that our sessions would consist simply of Lisbeth helping me with choosing audition materials and working on the technical aspects of my audition pieces. But Lisbeth taught me much, much more than that. Lisbeth gave me tremendous technical and practical acting advice. She guided me on how to choose age-appropriate, exciting audition material that was suitable for me and not overdone. She coached me on how to rehearse, interpret, stage, and polish my material using a variety of acting techniques. But Lisbeth did so much more for me as well. She engaged me in conversations during which I also learned so much about the competitive theatrical world that I was getting into, how to perform with confidence at my auditions, how to battle audition stress and anxiety, and how to weather the admissions results with patience, especially the inevitable NOs.In addition to my weekly coaching lessons, Lisbeth and I would often talk on the phone, email and text. Whenever I had a question, she was always available. Whether it was a question right before an audition, or whether I needed to discuss an audition I had just completed, Lisbeth was available to help me prepare myself to walk into the audition room with joy and calm as well as talking to me afterwards, helping me understand my various audition experiences, both positive and negative, and absorb the feedback I received. Due to Lisbeth’s wonderful coaching, I was fortunate enough to be accepted to several excellent Drama programs, some with generous scholarship awards. As I develop as a professional actress, I will always seek out Lisbeth’s guidance. She is much more than an acting coach. She is a true mentor and friend.
