I have no idea how I would have survived my final years of high school without my wonderful private acting coach Lisbeth Bartlett. My weekly sessions with Lisbeth were eye opening, enlightening and so beneficial to being a performer in this crazy world. I looked forward to my sessions with her so much each week. They reminded me of my love for theatre and the creative process. They were also an escape from the stress of high school. Lisbeth exposed me to so many challenging and exciting plays and pieces of theatre that I never would’ve come across if weren’t for her. She not only taught me how to be a much better actor; she also taught me how to be a confident, well informed and worldly person. She inspired me to have intelligent and thoughtful conversations about art and its importance in the world. Her attitude and outlook on auditioning is SO healthy, balanced, and supportive. She really helped me eliminate my fears about the whole college audition process as well as my nerves about entering the professional theater as an actor. By the time college auditions came, I felt beyond prepared and ready to have fun sharing my pieces and songs. I was accepted into my dream school, Baldwin Wallace, and I am so excited to be immersed in a world full of Lisbeths: eccentric, beautiful, gifted people who challenge me to grow but also care deeply about my well-being. However, I know I will never find another mentor as special and gifted as Lisbeth Bartlett!
