Testimonial
My time coaching with Lisbeth Bartlett was unbelievable. I started working with her at the beginning of my senior year of high school and my main motive was to begin preparing for my college auditions. Now I have graduated from NYU Tisch BFA and Columbia MFA acting programs. Lisbeth instilled in my young 17 year old heart a deep passion, love and respect for the art of acting. Not only was she one of my biggest supporters but through her vast knowledge of acting, the business, and the sharing of her own personal experiences she became much more than a teacher. She really helped me discover and rediscover my monologues in my own way, which consequently helped me understand myself as an artist. There is not one way to approach a great text by Shakespeare and Chekhov; there is not one way to approach a contemporary monologue. Instead there is a unique and special way for each human to comprehend and interpret and grow. Lisbeth helped me to understand this phenomenon about my craft and through many hours of talk and discussion and intense work she helped me learn that the best technique for me would be the Adler technique at NYU. There is nothing I would change about the decision I made to study the Adler technique and I have Lisbeth to thank. After graduation, I returned to coaching with Lisbeth for various professional auditions and I have been working steadily! I was also accepted to the Columbia University MFA Acting Program and recently graduated with my MFA. I plan to work with Lisbeth and seek her advice for the rest of my professional career.
