I’ve loved theater since before kindergarten; I’ve never wanted to do anything else with my life. As many people know, being a theater artist is no easy career and there are times when I doubt my abilities. The first time I met Lisbeth, she said to me “You have more drive than I have ever seen and that alone will get you farther than you’ve ever been.” From that day on, Lisbeth has been nothing short of a constant supporter of my choices and career. Since working with Lisbeth, I have come so far with my talent, I can hardly believe it. Lisbeth creates an atmosphere of creativity and comfort, which is exactly what I need when working on a monologue or preparing for an audition. Working with Lisbeth has given me more opportunities and more confidence than ever before, and I could not be more grateful. Working with Lisbeth is like the cherry on top of any role I receive or any show I am cast in. I don’t think I would have had the confidence or the technique to do the things I’ve done in the past year, such as attending the Governor’s School of Excellence at the University of Delaware for Theater, and having the supporting lead in my high school’s production of Shrek, The Musical, without Lisbeth’s guidance, teaching, and love. By learning from Lisbeth and continuing my training with her, college auditions did not seem scary or impossible because I knew she would never let me fail. I am so excited to be attending Emerson for my BFA in Theater and Performance, my dream school!
